Psychosocial Counselling Programme
(Regulated by the Zambia Counselling Council)
The Psychosocial Counselling programme is structured in accordance with the guidelines and professional expectations of the Zambia Counselling Council. The programme aims to develop skilled counsellors capable of addressing psychological, emotional, social, and behavioral challenges affecting individuals, families, and communities.
Students are trained in counselling theories, ethics, mental health awareness, trauma-informed care, and community-based interventions. Practical training and supervised fieldwork form a core component of the programme to ensure professional competence and ethical practice.
Graduates are eligible for professional registration with the Zambia Counselling Council, enabling them to practice legally within approved settings.
